This is the long and short of it: Greed, lust, secrets, and deception! Sounds like a “Desperate Housewives” plot. But these sins were not recently invented, as we see in Shakespeare’s comedy “The Merry Wives of Windsor”. As good luck would have it, we get to witness the trickery and wit of the merry wives and their hapless husbands. At the center of it all we find Falstaff, the bawdy scoundrel with his eye on money and wives that are not his. Although sometimes they “cannot tell what the dickens his name is”, Falstaff’s disguises don’t fool anyone for long. So come join us for this renaissance romp and you too will find “the world’s mine oyster”.
